QA Engineer – Manual / Functional Testing (Onsite | Mohali)

About the Role

We are hiring a QA Engineer focused on manual and functional testing to ensure product quality for a real-time Manufacturing Execution System (MES). You’ll play a key role in validating system workflows, user interactions, and real-time data behavior to support stable and secure software releases in industrial environments. This is a full-time onsite position based in Mohali, working closely with a cross-functional global engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for manual validation
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and UI testing
• Validate real-time behavior and user flows across the MES platform
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using test management tools
• Ensure alignment with secure SDLC and compliance requirements
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and product teams

Required Skills

• Strong experience in manual functional testing for web-based applications
• Hands-on use of tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar
• Basic understanding of API and SQL-based database testing
• Familiarity with secure testing practices and risk-based testing

Domain Experience (Desired)

• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Real-Time Systems
• Security & compliance testing

Nice to Have

• Exposure to automation tools like Selenium or Cypress is a plus, but not required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
