𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗚𝗣𝗧-𝟲 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗚𝗜? Since the launch of GPT-6 Astra, my feed is full of posts/ reels saying: 1. AGI is here. 2. Software Engineers are finished. 3. AI has surpassed humans. 😅 But here’s what actually happened. GPT-6 Astra represents a major jump in capabilities across coding, reasoning, computer use and long-running agentic tasks. But does that mean AGI has officially been achieved? Not necessarily. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲: 𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗚𝗜. A model performing exceptionally well on benchmarks and professional tasks is a huge technological milestone but turning that into “AGI is confirmed and your career is over” is where information often becomes hype. And we’ve seen this cycle many times: New AI model → Crazy benchmarks → “Developers are finished” → Panic → Next model → Repeat. 🔁 So if you’re a developer, student or working professional: 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. ✅ Learn how to code. ✅ Understand the fundamentals. ✅ Learn system design. ✅ Build real projects. And most importantly, use these AI models to your advantage. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆, 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿. Ask questions. 1. Challenge your understanding. 2. Go deeper into concepts. 3. Build things you couldn’t build before. Don’t just consume AI news - use AI to become better at what you do. 𝗔𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼.
