API call with Kane CLI: call an API, store the response, and assert your UI matches it, all in one plain-English test run. With Kane CLI, the API call is just another step in your browser test. No separate API tool, no glue code. In this demo, Kane CLI (v0.4.6) opens the kane-cli GitHub releases page and sends a GET request to the GitHub releases/latest API. It saves the release tag from the API response and the tag shown on the page as named variables, then asserts they match. The test passes in 8 steps and is saved locally as a markdown file. It's also synced to TestMu AI Test Manager with a shareable link, where you can replay every step with Autoplay. It's a quick way to validate your UI against live backend data without writing code or switching tools: fetch a value from an API, then confirm the screen shows the same thing. (Run time is sped up in the video.) #KaneCLI #APITesting #TestAutomation #TestMuAI #QA
