Microsoft Decision-1: The AI That Only Decides

Microsoft Decision-1 is a decision-scoring model in Microsoft Foundry: give it a situation, a question and your options, and it returns a probability for every option instead of writing text. Why pay an LLM for a paragraph when you only need a yes or no? Decision-1 handles three question types: yes/no, pick one label, or score on a scale. Think ticket triage, content filters, or checking whether a support reply promised a refund. Microsoft reports an 85 ms median latency and 83.5% average accuracy across 36 benchmarks. Those are Microsoft's own numbers, so test it on your own data. The smart pattern: let Decision-1 route or gate each request, and only send what passes to your big generative model. The catch: it gives no explanation, and rewording the question can shift the score, so send low-confidence calls to a human. 🧪 Decision-1 decides what your agent should do. It can't tell you what your agent actually did. That's what TestMu AI Agent Assurance is for. Test how your agents actually behave across workflows, tools, and actions. It reads your agent's code, writes the test suite for you, runs the agent for real, and grades what changed against evidence, not the agent's own summary. Anything it couldn't check is reported as a number, not guessed. 👉 Try Agent Assurance: https://www.testmuai.com/agent-assurance/ ⚡ Install from your terminal: npm install -g @testmuai/rook 📘 Docs: https://www.testmuai.com/support/docs/agent-assurance-overview/ (Pre-alpha and publicly installable. Commands can still change.) #Shorts #AIAgents #AgentAssurance #MicrosoftFoundry #TestMuAI
