Today, the Norwegian Coastal Administration is building a data platform that will help Norway become the world’s most efficient coastal nation. Every day, more than 100 million rows of AIS data from ships flow through the platform without issues. Hear Peter talk about how we use this data to assess whether ships are on a collision course, improve efficiency to reduce climate emissions, and to join it with other data to enable further analysis. In this talk, Peter takes us through the background of the data platform on Azure Databricks, how the team was built to deliver effectively, and how the Norwegian Coastal Administration delivers data and analytics to fulfil its societal mission.
