For most of history, what a person knew or was, ended with them. You spend a whole life figuring things out, and when you are gone, most of it goes with you. Writing was the first time some of it stayed behind, in books that someone else could read after you. But a book only waits on a shelf until somebody opens it. Today that knowledge can keep existing after the person who had it, and it can be shaped into the silhouette of someone who was never born. It can take what a teacher knew, what a storyteller knew and what a creator knew, and put them together in a way no single life ever could. And this time it does not wait on a shelf. It answers you, it works with you and it builds new things. It has no body, no memory and no idea that it exists, and it still carries things that took thousands of people their whole lives to learn. Maybe that is what AGI really is. Everything all of us ever knew, in one place, existing because some of us decided it should. And maybe one day it will have an idea of us, the way we have an idea of God. We will be the ones who made it, the ones it can never see and can only tell stories about. Maybe we end up being the greatest story it ever tells.
