Ensure code quality, utilize Code Reviewer agent | 4th Agent
Code Review Agent – Ensuring Code Quality and Best Practices Today, we will create our Code Review Agent, the next agent in our Agentic Automation workflow. The Code Review Agent will review the automation scripts developed by the Playwright Automation Agent and ensure that the generated code adheres to predefined coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. We will provide the agent with a set of instructions and guidelines that the developed code must follow, including: 1. Clean Code Principles: Ensure SOLID principles, DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself), and other clean coding practices are followed. 2. Code Reusability: Identify opportunities to create reusable methods, functions, and components. 3. Page Object Model (POM): Ensure proper implementation of the Page Object Model for better maintainability and separation of concerns. 4. Code Readability: Ensure meaningful naming conventions, proper code structure, and readability. 5. Error Handling: Validate appropriate error handling and exception management. 6. Playwright Best Practices: Ensure proper usage of locators, assertions, waits, fixtures, and other Playwright capabilities. 7. Maintainability: Identify code smells, duplication, unnecessary complexity, and potential maintenance issues. The agent will analyze the developed code against these guidelines and provide actionable feedback, highlighting potential issues and areas for improvement. Our objective: Ensure that the automation code is not just functionally correct but also clean, reusable, scalable, and maintainable.
