Are you wondering how to edit videos in Claude Code with Opus 5.5? Well, my 1:53 raw intro, full of fumbles, spoken retakes and an 11-second pause, came out at 46 seconds with the names spelled right, captions on and the sound at -14 LUFS for YouTube. Seven plain-English prompts in Claude Code edited my video, and I never opened an video editing app. My last full video went from 38 minutes 24 seconds of raw take to a 17-minute video the same way. 🎁 Free starter kit from this video, sent to your inbox: https://www.genaiunplugged.com/kit/edit-videos-with-claude-code/ 🆓 Free live lesson with me: https://www.genaiunplugged.com/free-lesson/ 🎓 Claude Code Builder, my 6-week live cohort: https://maven.com/genaiunplugged/claude-code-builder 🎬 Video editing with Claude Code, my live workshop: https://maven.com/genaiunplugged/video-editing-with-claude-code 👥 Train your team on Claude Code: https://www.genaiunplugged.com/team-training/ In this video I walk you through my Claude Code Video Editing workflow in fourteen steps. Steps 0 to 6 we build together: check the tools, write your edit rules, transcribe every word with a time, cut the dead air, cut the retakes, fix the names and write captions, and set the loudness. Steps 7 to 13 are the rest of my own pipeline, with a first thing to try for each: brand style, pacing, the storyboard, designed frames and music, checking, making it learn, and shipping. You also see the one-line prompt everyone tries first, and the moment Claude told me video is edited and job was done when it was not: the loudness was about 8 decibels too quiet, there was no cut list, and it had misheard my own name. A note before you try this The numbers in this video come from my own takes: a 1:53 intro cut to 46 seconds, and a 38 minute 24 second raw take cut to a 17 minute video. Claude writes its own scripts each run, so your times and loudness will move a little between runs. Read each step's report, then check the file yourself. Steps 7 to 13 are shown as my version, with a hint for each, and are not a full build-along.
