PHP2Shell is a pair of critical PHP vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) that let attackers run code on a server with a single unauthenticated request. Researchers at Calif and Wiz used AI to find the flaws, which had gone undetected for more than a decade. After the 21 October 2026 fix, Finland and the Netherlands took government sites offline as a precaution, and attack attempts had started before the patch shipped.
