Is Selenium Grid 4 still worth self-hosting or should we just use cloud providers?

We're running Selenium Grid 3 on 6 VMs and it's a maintenance headache — node crashes, session leaks, version mismatches between hub and nodes. I'm evaluating whether to: 1. Upgrade to Grid 4 (full overhaul with better Docker support) 2. Move to BrowserStack or Sauce Labs 3. Use GitHub Actions with matrix builds instead of a grid We run ~400 tests across Chrome, Firefox, Safari. Cloud costs at our volume would be ~$300/month. What has your team done and was it the right call?
