BrowserStack

BrowserStack is a cloud-based testing platform providing on-demand access to real mobile devices and browsers for manual and automated cross-browser and cross-device testing, without a team needing to own and maintain that hardware itself.

It offers both live, interactive testing (manually driving a real remote device or browser through a web interface) and automated testing (running Selenium, Appium, or Playwright test suites against its device cloud), covering a far broader matrix of real OS, browser, and device combinations than most teams could realistically maintain in-house.

Compared to Sauce Labs and LambdaTest, the three cloud testing platforms are broadly comparable in core capability — the practical choice between them often comes down to pricing, specific device/browser catalog breadth, and integration support for a team's existing CI and automation stack rather than a fundamental difference in what they do.
