Let's learn all the things you need to know about pattern matching in Rust! If you would also like to learn something about fake clocks, then feel free to watch this video: https://youtu.be/VQPLRZhkRrQ 📝 Description Master Rust's pattern matching. In this short tutorial, you'll replace messy if chains and stacked `unwrap`s with `match`. You describe the shape of your data, Rust takes it apart, and the compiler checks that you've handled every case. You build a small web server router to see it in action. Here's what you will learn: • Understand what pattern matching is, when it beats `if / else` chains, and when a plain `if` is still the better choice. • Match on tuples, slices, and enums to destructure data and decide on several values at once. • Use guards, including `if let` guards, plus `@` bindings and `..` to refine arms and capture the rest of a path. • Rely on exhaustiveness checking so the compiler refuses to build code that misses a case. • Use `let-else` and patterns in for loops to write clean, flat code. ⏳ Timestamps: 00:00 - Introduction 00:16 - What / Why 01:31 - Use Case 16:35 - Outro 👋 Hey there!
